GNOME Bugzilla – Bug 115445
general ledger inserts blank transaction after cancel
Last modified: 2018-06-29 20:34:05 UTC
If I start up the general ledger, enter the description of a transaction I've entered before, hit tab to complete the default values for that transaction, then hit the cancel button, it inserts a blank transaction at the date I had entered for the transaction I canceled. Cancel should really cancel, not enter a blank transaction.
Wow, that's broken. Yea, it shouldn't do that...
Wow, that's (still) broken. :) Confirmed still in 1.9.2; changing component to Register
Also, if in the general register, I move my cursor to the final blank entry and then away from it, it also creates a blank entry. This is with version 1.9.6.
This no longer occurs in trunk when pressing Cancel. However, the bug described in comment 3 still happens. A separate bug report has been filed with a more extensive description of this behavior; see bug 346159.
Does this problem still exist in 2.2.9? It is fixed in trunk, but whatever fixed it may not have been backported.
This is definitely fixed in 2.3.x. Unknown whether it is fixed before that, so marking as fixed in 2.3.0.
