Description Ali Akcaagac 2003-04-15 06:33:45 UTC
Hello, I would like to ask if you can provide a matching icon for gpdf because the one named
in the desktop file isn't present on a sane installed GNOME system.
Comment 1 Martin Kretzschmar 2003-04-16 19:14:00 UTC
Well, I don't have that icon either. I just left the line in the
.desktop and was waiting for a bug report. So now I have to find an icon.
Comment 2 Ali Akcaagac 2003-04-24 07:05:05 UTC
Maybe you could ask Jimmac to paint you one.
Comment 3 Martin Kretzschmar 2003-04-25 20:53:36 UTC
I talked to Jimmac yesterday. He's currently quite busy. He showed me
pdf viewer icons he has done in the past. Unfortunately, they feature
the Acrobat logo (which is trademarked... and the logo of a competing
pdf viewer ;).

Do you have a good idea of what a good icon for gpdf should show?
Comment 4 Ali Akcaagac 2003-04-28 16:44:49 UTC
Hmm I don't know. Either Jimmac or Tigert could help you but right now
I don't know what kind of Icon you should use. I think you should
simply take one of Jimmacs and include it meanwhile until someone else
draws a new one. You can also look at art.gnome.org under Icons (Or
was it Others) and look if you find something there.
Comment 5 Martin Kretzschmar 2003-05-03 11:18:16 UTC
I'll use the icon for PDF documents for now.
Comment 6 Ali Akcaagac 2003-05-12 03:09:44 UTC
Hmm, it doesn't exist in a default GNOME installation, that is showing
no icon.
Comment 7 Evandro Giovanini 2003-07-17 15:24:38 UTC
The default icon theme ('gnome') includes a gnome-pdf.png icon.

btw, I think the logo used in the icon is the logo of Adobe PDF and
not Adobe Acrobat. At least the only place I saw it when browsing the
Adobe web site is on the "What is Adobe PDF?" page. It's not on the
Acrobat page.

Ok, seems to be a good solution temporarely. Can we now close this
report ?
Comment 9 Martin Kretzschmar 2003-08-28 05:58:09 UTC
Sure, thanks for the notice.
