Description Uri David Akavia 2003-04-13 15:45:41 UTC
after installing GST-MEDIA-VIEW, it becomes the default view for all
unknown or unassigned file types. I have no idea how to remove this, except
for uninstalling it, since it crashes whenever I try to remove it via menu,
and refuses to play nice with bug-buddy.
Comment 1 Ronald Bultje 2003-04-14 15:19:16 UTC
Actually, we should remove that view until it's fixed. ;).
Comment 2 Mark Finlay 2003-04-21 10:23:35 UTC
Yeah, this is very annoying. It is even set as a handler for folders
and for unknown protacols..
Comment 3 Mark Finlay 2003-04-21 10:32:39 UTC
The offending code is

	<oaf_attribute name="bonobo:additional_uri_schemes" type="stringv">
		<item value="*"/>
	</oaf_attribute>

in Gst-Player-View.server

Can I commit a fix for this(have to get cvs access but shouldn't
be too hard), or is someone else going to take it?
Comment 5 Uri David Akavia 2003-05-10 16:39:59 UTC
It is now fixed - however, in order to see the fix in effect, you have
to replace the configuration file (apt-get remove --purge; apt-get
install in DEBIAN) and restart oafd (by running oaf-slay).
Perhaps these instructions should be in the next version announcment.
