GNOME Bugzilla – Bug 110646
Resume download, miscalculates time remaining
Last modified: 2010-05-10 10:31:55 UTC
I started a large download, stopped it, then a few hours later went back to download it again. I was pleased to find Galeon unexpectedly resumed the file transfer. The Status and Time Remaining elements appear to be calculated for the transfer as an entirity BUT the Time Elapsed is for the new download session. This gives a very high -- but very inaccurate -- speed. Suggested fix would be to base the Status and Time Remaining calculations on the amount of file transferred in the current session -- which does not necessarily start from 0 bytes.
I think the debian report http://bugzilla.gnome.org/show_bug.cgi?id=110646 is probably also related to this. Unreproducible though.
