GNOME Bugzilla – Bug 110105
redhat 9.0 vs gmeeting
Last modified: 2004-12-22 21:47:04 UTC
hi, i tried to run gmeeting on my new redhat 9.0 (kde). But every time when i run this i get the following errormessage: "PMutex acquired whilst locked by another thread" ...and gmeeting didnt started. i tryed to find out if the problem was the depending on gnomemeetin 0.96.1.1 or what else could it be. mainly I found out that it wasn't gmeetings fault - the is was eigther the fault of pwlib-1.4.7-4 or openh323-1.11.2-4. FIXED (in my case): 1. deinstall pwlib-1.4.7-4, openh323-1.11.2-4 and gnomemeeting-09x.x.xx 2. download from www.gnomemeeting.org the openh323-1.11.2-4, pwlib-1.4.7-4, and gnomemeeting RPMS. 3. do install it 4. have fun.. ... i hope it could some people help, because it is my 1st bugreport :)))))) timo bergemann
Hello, thanks for the tip. Perhaps there is a problem in the RH 9 RPM. But what is weird is that the package on gnomemeeting.org were done for RH 8 ;) I'll mark it as "NOTGNOME" as it is not really a bug in the GnomeMeeting code.
I can confirm this, GnomeMeeting 0.96.0 shipped with RH9 works with libs shipped on cds. But if you want newer version, get all three RPMS from this site. And don't select to update those libs eventhough up2date offers them for update.
