Subject: Pan display layout

Please add one more display layout on the pref pane. The way the new
Outlook
does it:
http://www.activewin.com/screenshots/office2k3b2/newmessage.jpg which
actually makes sense (documents are generally long, not wide).

thanks,
Eugenia

Added in CVS:

http://cvs.gnome.org/bonsai/cvsview2.cgi?diff_mode=context&whitespace_mode=show&subdir=pan/pan&command=DIFF_FRAMESET&file=prefs.c&rev1=1.343&rev2=1.344&root=/cvs/gnome
http://cvs.gnome.org/bonsai/cvsview2.cgi?diff_mode=context&whitespace_mode=show&subdir=pan/pan&command=DIFF_FRAMESET&file=gui-paned.c&rev1=1.75&rev2=1.76&root=/cvs/gnome
http://cvs.gnome.org/bonsai/cvsview2.cgi?diff_mode=context&whitespace_mode=show&subdir=pan&command=DIFF_FRAMESET&file=ANNOUNCE.html&rev1=1.111&rev2=1.112&root=/cvs/gnome

However, I'm not certain that this will be as useful in a newsreader
as it is in a mail client, because Usenet threads tend to nest more
deeply than in mail. IMO this layout will be most useful for people
who read with threading turned off.

I also notice that the OE screenshot has multiple lines per
selectable 'row' in the header pane; this is won't be possible
in Pan until we upgrade to the gtk2 tree widget. With that in
mind I'll hold off on tweaking the header pane in this layout
mode until I get ahold of OE and play with it a bit.
