GNOME Bugzilla – Bug 109006
8 bits characters in the user profil editor are not utf-8 decoded
Last modified: 2006-06-18 05:10:07 UTC
Pan 0.13.91 In the user profil editor, Pan encodes 8 bits characters to utf-8. But it doesn't decode the utf-8 when we open the editor. For example: I write as introduction string: "%n écrivait :" When i reopen the editor, Pan displays : "%n écrivait :" Pan encodes one more time this string to utf-8 when we close the editor, etc.

Eh, it's a duplicate, but not of that bug ...
ok, now I've got my head screwed on right: not a dupe, but definitely a bug. Weird, since this worked for a long time. I'll fix this for 0.14.0.
Fixed in CVS: http://cvs.gnome.org/bonsai/cvsview2.cgi?diff_mode=context&whitespace_mode=show&subdir=pan/pan/base&command=DIFF_FRAMESET&file=pan-glib-extensions.c&rev1=1.43&rev2=1.44&root=/cvs/gnome
