Description Dmitry G. Mastrukov 2003-03-06 05:24:51 UTC
In non-unicode locales saving new files causes appearance of UTF8 sequences
in filenames. G_BROKEN_FILENAMES variable has no ingluence on such behaviour.
Seems g_filename_from_uft8/uri() functions should be used before saving.
Comment 1 Paolo Maggi 2003-03-09 19:03:59 UTC
Do you see it only when creating new files?
Do you see it also if you overwrite an existing file?

Comment 2 Dmitry G. Mastrukov 2003-03-10 09:35:49 UTC
Hmm, I even cannot open non-ascii named file. I see it in file
selector, but if I press OK gedit tells me 'Cannot open file
/home/dmitry/<utf8 sequence>'
