Description Chris Chabot 2003-03-02 15:39:31 UTC
Nautilus shows the special URI's in the location bar (applications://,
settings://, etc) which i think for most end users is non interesting and
even intimidating.

Why not just show a textual description instead? (if $uri =
"applications://" then $title = "Applications" style hack). That way the
info would come down to the same, but be a lot more digestible for end-users

Comment 2 Chris Chabot 2003-03-02 18:16:31 UTC
Uhhh i think you pasted a incomplete or wrong bug number there.. the
bug you refered to is a gnome-panel crash & stack trace .. I failed to
see the relevance ;-)

Sorry, bug 82107
Comment 4 Christian Neumair 2005-07-20 16:19:24 UTC
The affected VFS URIs have gone. For FTP, HTTP etc. it's desirable to have them
in. Closing.
