GNOME Bugzilla – Bug 107328
Quit shortcut key incorrect for Windows
Last modified: 2004-12-22 21:47:04 UTC
The shortcut key to close the current application under windows is Alt+F4, and should be consistent for all apps. However, as this shortcut key is not disabled (even though Ctrl+Q is used as an additional shortcut key), this bug is minor. The Quit menu option should also be named "Close" or "Exit". Typically, Close is used for documents, whereas Exit is used for applications. "Exit" is more common and 'correct'.
Fixed in the main trunk for 0.14: http://cvs.gnome.org/bonsai/cvsview2.cgi?diff_mode=context&whitespace_mode=show&subdir=pan/pan&command=DIFF_FRAMESET&file=gui.c&rev1=1.560&rev2=1.561&root=/cvs/gnome And in the 0.13 bugfix branch, if/when we roll a 0.13.5: http://cvs.gnome.org/bonsai/cvsview2.cgi?diff_mode=context&whitespace_mode=show&subdir=pan/pan&command=DIFF_FRAMESET&file=gui.c&rev1=1.559&rev2=1.559.2.1&root=/cvs/gnome
