it would be nice if the task manager displayed the directory the downloaded
message would be saved to, next to each task.

I agree this would be kind of nice.

If some user wants to make a patch against the new C++ code I'll accept it.
The relevant sections are pan/gui/task-manager.cc and pan/tasks/task-article.cc.
