GNOME Bugzilla – Bug 106562
Crux and Flat-blue icon theme does not thumbnail
Last modified: 2006-09-30 18:18:55 UTC
(first reported as https://bugzilla.redhat.com/bugzilla/show_bug.cgi?id=83729 ) The Crux and Flat-Blue icon-themes do not display text file thumbnails. The other core themes do (i.e. Bluecurve and Gnome).
What is a text file thumbnail?
A text thumbnail is when the text from a file with readable text (UTF8 text?) is displayed in the icon of the file. For Nautilus in GNOME-2.2 (and the previous versions of GNOME) the thumbnail only display the test from the upper left hand corner. I like this feature because it provides a fast visual way to sort files and at times provides usable informations about the file withou having to open the file.
It was reported as http://bugzilla.ubuntu.com/show_bug.cgi?id=18429 as well.
Flat-Blue has now been replace by a new Mist icon theme, which uses the default text icon, so this should now be fixed for this theme. The Crux theme should do something simlar soon, once it has been updated.
Crux has also been replaced in 2.16.0, and fixes this bug.
