Description Nikos Charonitakis 2003-02-12 13:06:59 UTC
G2.2 installed in rh8.0 system via garnome 0.21 many
translated in greek messages in menus of nautilus
cant be diplayed.
instead i see strange characters like playing cards
see examples:

http://osdn.dl.sourceforge.net/sourceforge/hop/prob2.png
http://osdn.dl.sourceforge.net/sourceforge/hop/prob3.png

this is strange because all messages are translated
(used utf-8 encoding)
and the majority of them are correct in view but
some of them are not.

i have to mention that:
*** msft web fonts are used for the examples
***this is not a specific nautilus problem (and other components
like gnome-panel have the same problem)
*** redhat 8.0 system with installed g2.0 has not such a problem.

Any idea what is the cause of all these monster fonts?

No news on this bug for some times, could you check if the bug is
still here ?

Thanks

Ok this is fixed. Under RH9.0 with Gnome 2.2 and Fedora with 2.4
everything is displayed OK. There are no reports with problems like
that in other distros.
