Description Christian Rose 2003-02-11 17:40:45 UTC
There are now many translations for "Bengali" in GNOME (language code "bn",
locale "bn_IN"). It should probably have a corresponding language entry in
the gdm greeter.

taneem@eyetap.org, could you attach the language name "Bengali"
translated into Bengali (as a UTF-8-encoded attachment to this report).
That information is probably needed.

Comment 2 Taneem Ahmed 2003-02-11 18:10:16 UTC
Currently two locales are used for Bengali, ie. bn_BD and bn_IN. Both
of them are supported in glibc.
Comment 3 Christian Rose 2003-02-11 19:02:27 UTC
Ok, then probably both locales should be present in the GDM languages list

Bengali (Bangladesh) bn_BD
Bengali (India) bn_IN

like is done for other languages used in more than one country, afaik.

This is already fixed in CVS
