GNOME Bugzilla – Bug 105714
Smb remembers invalid logins
Last modified: 2004-12-22 21:47:04 UTC
Using version 0.99.8 If I enter a bad password I get a dialog informing me that I don't have the premission to access the share. If I then accesses the share again (expecting to get a chance to enter the correct password) I just get the same information again. the smb module should not remember bad logins, and it would be nice to have a "forget credentials" option.
I think this is fixed in nautilus 2.2.1, can you test it?
Just tested with 2.2.1 and I still have this problem. If I give bogus username and password I never get a chance to correct it.
I can verify this bug as of Nautilus 2.2.3.1 and gnome-vfs-extras 0.99.8. The only way to re-enter information is by doing a "killall nautilus" and then trying to access the share again. If you need any more detailed info to get this out of NEEDINFO status, just let me know.
This is fixed in version 0.99.11 with a new enough libsmbclient (samba 3.0beta recommended)
