Description John Fleck 2003-02-09 22:28:39 UTC
The docs for the keyboard shortcuts describe:

* Text editing shortcuts
* Desktop shortcuts
* Custom shortcuts

But gnome-keybinding-properties has

* Desktop
* Window Management

with no "custom shortcuts" "new" button as the docs describe.

From Mark McCloughlin's explanation when this came up on desktop-devel:
**************************

Its a Sun specific patch - and since the Sun docs guys (and gals) did
the users guide, its one of those discrepancies that is hard to avoid
without magicing up some resources from somewhere ... cc-ed
gnome-doc-list, I'm sure someone there will explain better.

        The patch itself is in CVS:

sun-patches/gnome-control-center/060-00000.diff

        No bugzilla id with it, no comment on whether or not the patch was
rejected by the gnome-control-center maintainers - all against Sun's
policies for our patches ... Frenchie, what's the deal ? :-)

Also in the user's guide
Comment 3 John Fleck 2003-02-13 18:51:56 UTC
FYI, Andrew, the users guide and the app-specific docs are, in this
case, the same thing (the app-specific one just dynamically pulls the
single chapter for display). Other apps documented in the users guide
- Nautilus, panel, etc - all do it this way.
Comment 4 Andrew Sobala 2003-02-13 19:16:11 UTC
Cool :)

-> minor for consistency with the rest of control center. I know doc
bugs aren't really minor, but they don't really need to be on
maintainer's radars.
Comment 5 Eugene O'Connor 2003-03-04 19:54:44 UTC
I'll have this fixed for 2.2.1.
