GNOME Bugzilla – Bug 105616
Dock (toolbar) layout/state not saved / can't edit
Last modified: 2011-02-14 13:07:09 UTC
I create a toolbar (bookmark folder with 'Show as Toolbar' set) and drag it to be vertical on the right side of the window. Each window I create (with File-New-Window) will place the toolbar in the appropriate place. However, if I quit and restart Galeon, the toolbar will be displayed as a horizontal toolbar at the top.
In addition, ordering of toolbars does not seem to be 'remembered' between restarts. I can order horizontal bars so that one is below the other.. on restart the order is based on which was created first (or possibly something to do with where it fits in the 'bookmarks' file).
I don't know if someone will try to fix this or it would be left to the libegg toolbar/menu rewrite

This bug has been around since at least the 1.0.x days, as Bug 67603 shows. Although it may seem minor, it can be _very_ annoying for those of us who have multiple windows with multiple toolbars.

Thanks for taking the time to report this bug. However, you are using a version that is too old and not supported anymore. Galeon developers won't be fixing or back porting any fixes for this version. Please upgrade to latest stable Galeon version to receive bug fixes. We are sorry it could not be fixed for your version.
