Description Marius Andreiana 2003-01-31 13:08:40 UTC
with version 1.7.x Reports -> Transaction Report gives:
Report error
An error occurred while running the report

It happens with both a newly created file and a gnuchash 1.6 file. I use
the rpm from redhat 8.1 beta. Should I switch to a source from gnucash.org ?
Comment 1 Derek Atkins 2003-01-31 17:05:25 UTC
I cannot reproduce this problem. Have you contacted Red Hat?

Please try the sources from gnucash.org and re-open this bug if it
still exihibits the problem. If you can also provide the stack-trace
from the failure, that would be useful.

Also, I have NO CLUE what "childsplay.py" is -- that isn't anything
that is part of GnuCash. I've changed the summary.
Comment 2 Marius Andreiana 2003-01-31 17:43:06 UTC
Yes, I've filled the bug at redhat first about 3 days ago, but nobody
touched it, so I went here.
Just got the source rpm from gnucash.org, I'll try that.

childsplay.py - wrong copy-paste from another bug reporting, sorry.

Could you please let me know in what package is the dbopen() function?
I have db4 ( devel package too ) installed, but that's not it. I
cannot try a binary as it doesn't work on my redhat beta. Thanks!

I still have problems with redhat rpm version 1.8.0, I'll ask on
mailing list.

The original summary for this bug was longer than 255 characters, and so it was truncated when Bugzilla was upgraded. The original summary was:

error on Transaction Report   File "./childsplay.py", line 217, in __init__     surf_s,s_size = font2surf('Score:',self.fsize,self.fcol,None,1)   File "./utils.py", line 96, in font2surf     return font.render(word, 0, fcol).convert(),sizelist pygame.error: SDL_ttf render failed childsplay   File "./childsplay.py", line 217, in __init__     surf_s,s_size = font2surf('Score:',self.fsize,self.fcol,None,1)   File "./utils.py", line 96, in font2surf     return font.render(word, 0, fcol).convert(),sizelist pygame.error: SDL_ttf render failed error on Transaction Report
