Description Ralph Loader 2003-01-14 18:55:08 UTC
This seems to trigger a memory leak:

1. Set a panel to be 'transparent' via the prefs.

2. Click on the show / hide buttons several times.

I'm seeing the panel memory usage (VSZ column of ps aux output) grow by
about 10 MB (!) each time I show/hide the panel.

This is with gnome-panel-2.1.4-1.i386.rpm from RedHat rawhide.

Could you try with the latest version and see if it has the same
problem (2.1.90.1). Thanks.
Comment 2 Ralph Loader 2003-01-16 07:55:17 UTC
With 2.1.90.1 (gnome-panel-2.1.90.1-4.i386.rpm from rawhide) things
are better but not perfect - leaking about 500k I hide & show the panel.

Okay, I'm not seeing any dups after 2.1.90 so I'm assuming this is fixed.
