Description David I. Lehn 2003-01-09 21:32:39 UTC
[moved from the sourceforge tracker]

Distributions with many plugin packages run gst-register and gst-compprep
many times. It would be nice if they could run incrementally on specific
newly installed or removed plugins without requiring a full scan of all
plugins.

Fixed with the registry rewrite. gst-compprep isn't really slow.
