Description gnomebugs 2002-07-24 20:35:11 UTC
Given how quickly threads appear and disappear, it would be very helpful if
Pan was a bit more "intelligent" and could automatically decide which
threads to follow, rather than requiring a manual user selection to enable
that.

For example, if the user has read 75% of the articles in a thread, then
automatically download any new articles. The percentage should be user
selectable. There would probably need to be a distinction between marking
articles as read, and actually reading them.

A feature like this would make the newsreader seem to anticipate which
articles the user wants to read, and would greatly improve the ergonomics
without adding more choices/buttons.
