Description Jon Kåre Hellan 2002-05-20 19:02:14 UTC
In the formula guru, two mouse clicks are needed to start entering
parameters. The first selects the parameter line, the second opens the
field for editing.

I guess this is a consequenct of using the etable widget, but that's not
really an excuse.

Well, we do _not_ use the etable widget, but the gtktreeview. THis is
the standard behavious for editable lists in gtk (and by extension in
gnome). I think this should therefore be addressed at the gtk level,
rather then gnumeric changing the behavious used everywhere else.

(In gnumeric the same of course happens also in other places.)
Comment 2 Andreas J. Guelzow 2002-05-21 15:25:59 UTC
gtk is planning to implement this change for 2.2 (or at least to make
it easier to adopt the desired behaviour). A similar issue arose in
the keybindings capplet. The somewhat hackish solution from that
capplet has been implemented in cvs head.
