I tried to open attached image with transparent background. GIMP displays it in wrong way - background is dark blue.

Test Image Opened In Gimp
Comment 2 Kunda 2018-05-12 12:25:07 UTC
I could open the test image fine and saw a transparent background. But when I went to add a layer with either a white background it would erroneously use orange.

The image is in indexed color mode, and white is not available. This is a different issue (debatable, however).
