As it is in Evince, you cannot see a textarea or textfield. It should have a different background so you can easily determine if it is an area where you should type text.

please elaborate. I don't understand which backgrounds you want to be different from white. If you can attach a screenshot that would be useful too.

Thanks, that's clear now. But still we need a pdf file to test the bug. If you can upload the pdf or another similar pdf (that can be shared online), that'd be great.

It is not a bug, it is a feature.  The result in both Acroread and Evince seem the same. Foxit shows the textarea differently (nicely done).
