Description Matthew Stein 2018-01-04 05:05:57 UTC
Dynamics are a really cool feature. Still learning to use them, but I'd used GIMP for image editing probably a decade without investigating them. I didn't even realize I could create my own until I searched for a tutorial on them finally! What if clicking the editor button on the default map of "Dynamics off" automatically created a new user created Dynamic? Better yet, what if the default Dynamics were editable? We could have it fork the default Dynamic to something like Default (edited). That way the original default Dynamic stays unchanged, but the ability to alter them is much more discoverable.

Build was 2.8.18 but I also downloaded the dev version to confirm it hadn't been changed.

Yeah a lot could be done to our current workflow, not only for dynamics, but for most most resource creation.

I'm pretty sure we already have some duplicates, maybe not exactly about dynamics but other resources though.

Anyway yes, that's something to be reviewed and experimented with later on. Maybe for 3.0 or later on. Setting a "future" milestone for now.
