Description Adrian Perez 2017-11-10 12:40:19 UTC
Steps to Reproduce
------------------

  1. Browse any website.
  2. Open the menu and choose “Install Site as Web Application”.

Expected Outcome
----------------

There is a way to delete the Web application in Epiphany or from
  the Web application itself.

Actual Outcome
--------------

There is no discoverable UI option to delete the Web application.

Additional Information
----------------------

  * Yes, I am aware of “about:applications” — it is not discoverable.

  * Yes, I am aware that GNOME Software lists Web applications — many
people do not install it or choose to not use it. Additionally:

    - It is far from obvious that something created *from Epiphany*
cannot be deleted *from Epiphany* as well.

    - It's not obvious that something created *from Epiphany* will
appear only somewhere else (GNOME Software).

Here goes a list of ideas for solving this issue:

  * A “Manage Web Applications” button in the “Stored Data” tab of the
“Preferences” dialog. This could open the existing “about:applications”
page, or even better a popup similar to the one triggered by “Manage
    Cookies”.

  * A “Manage Web Applications” entry in the menu (if at least one was
created). Again, this could load the existing “about:applications”
or a popup dialog similar to “Manage Cookies”.

  * Nowadays Web applications have their own settings, and the settings
dialog can be opened from them. One option is to have a “Delete Web
    Application” button there.

  * ...

I don't have a strong preference for any of them, as long as there is some
discoverable way of deleting Web applications which does not imply having
to know that Web applications appear in GNOME Software (which is not obvious).

Yes, this has been a problem for as long as we've had web apps.

This seems like a good suggestion.

I don't think this belongs in the preferences dialog, because it's not a preference.
