GNOME Bugzilla – Bug 789798
Sharing Dialog Details Polish
Last modified: 2017-12-06 17:06:20 UTC
My friend asked me for a recipe on my wholesome crackers and so today was the first time I had the chance to try sharing one of my recipes with a friend over e-mail with GNOME Recipes. I'm aware that the current sharing dialog is a stopgap measure[0] but I thought I would share a few nits I found along the way anyway: 1. The share dialog is missing a cancel button, currently you can only exit it by pressing "Esc". 2. Perhaps, instead of using an "Add More" button and a list, an editable list[1] could be used. 5. If I understand correctly, the "Contribute to the Recipes Project" within the share dialog is only sensitive when the recipe hasn't been contributed yet - in other contexts, showing two options with one greyed out just takes up space. Rather than in the share dialog, the "Contribute" option might deserve to be a separate contextual action in the action bar, visible only for newly created recipes which has yet to be contributed? 4. A more useful subject line in the e-mail than "Try this recipe" could be to use the name of the recipe in it for example "My Wholesome Crackers Recipe".
