GNOME Bugzilla – Bug 788482
In horizontal history view mode, the 3rd pane's position / width is always shifted on startup
Last modified: 2018-05-22 13:24:01 UTC
If you set gitg's preferences to use the "horizontal" display mode, on every startup the pane containing the listview of the commits will have shifted significantly to the right, to the point where after a few startups it becomes invisible (and as the handles are invisible in recent versions of Adwaita, users won't necessarily know where to look and how to bring that portion of the UI back). Probably related: there is this GTK Warning in the terminal when running "gitg .": Allocating size to GtkBox 0x55de1e8bfe00 without calling gtk_widget_get_preferred_width/height(). How does the code know the size to allocate? This warning does not occur if gitg is set to vertical mode.
