GNOME Bugzilla – Bug 787639
Search provider shouldn't start dleyna-renderer-service
Last modified: 2018-01-23 10:16:46 UTC
When I use the activities overview and start typing characters to perform a search, an instance of dleyna-renderer-service will start in the processes of system-monitor using 100% of a CPU. When I leave the activities overview, dleyna-renderer-service will continue to run at 100% until manually killed. If I turn off Photos search in settings, search, the bug no longer occurs. No instance of dleyna-renderer-service ever appears.
That sounds like an issue with Photo's search provider.
Yes, agreed. This was first pointed out in bug 744627. Back then we fixed the bit about spawning the miners, but not the dleyna-renderer. We should address that.
