Description Chris Roth 2017-09-13 16:56:44 UTC
When I use the activities overview and start typing characters to perform a search, an instance of dleyna-renderer-service will start in the processes of system-monitor using 100% of a CPU. When I leave the activities overview, dleyna-renderer-service will continue to run at 100% until manually killed.

If I turn off Photos search in settings, search, the bug no longer occurs. No instance of dleyna-renderer-service ever appears.

That sounds like an issue with Photo's search provider.
Comment 2 Debarshi Ray 2017-09-27 07:15:13 UTC
Yes, agreed. This was first pointed out in bug 744627. Back then we fixed the bit about spawning the miners, but not the dleyna-renderer. We should address that.
