On my touch screen, when I try to scroll the week view, Calendar wants to create a new event instead.

Do note that doing the scrolling movement creates a different outcome than clicking on an empty cell directly. Clicking directly highlights the cell right there and puts the Event Creation bubble there.
Scrolling shoves the creation box off to the side.
