On some notebooks an insufficient power adapter might be plugged in. In this case GBB will start testing immediately even though the device will likely be drawing power from the power adapter.

Interesting. How do the sysfs entires /sys/class/power_supply/AC look like? I assume, if GBB starts, the online attribute will be 0, right?
