Description Michał Zegan 2017-04-30 14:25:54 UTC

When I am installing spice-webdavd version 2.2 on microsoft windows 10 guest, the webdavd service is installed and started, but after a minute or so it stops.
Windows event log shows an application crash with error code 0x80000003. Even starting it manually with spice-webdavd -p 9843 --no-service does not work, because it constantly displays warnings/errors about error reading from handle.

I can confirm this bug, with the same reproducer.
Version 2.2 x64 on Win 10.
Comment 2 jeyhunn 2017-07-12 16:10:55 UTC
Same problem occured on me:
Guest - Windows 10
Host - Manjaro linux Gnome Edition Stable Branch
Gnome - 3.24.2
Gnome-Boxes - 3.24.0
Spice - 0.12.8
Spice-webdavd service on guest - 2.2

I also created spice channel:
<channel type='spiceport'>
      <source channel='org.spice-space.webdav.0'/>
      <target type='virtio' name='org.spice-space.webdav.0'/>
      <address type='virtio-serial' controller='0' bus='0' port='2'/>
Comment 3 Federico Bruni 2017-11-29 12:22:28 UTC
I confirm the bug.
In my case the service stops after a few seconds.

Tested on Windows 7 guest running on Fedora 27/Gnome Boxes 3.26.
Comment 4 Federico Bruni 2019-05-03 14:37:50 UTC
This bug is still open, as webdavd is still version 2.2.

Don't know if it's useful, in Windows Event Viewer I found this error log:

   C:\Program Files\SPICE webdavd\bin\spice-webdavd.exe
