Description Marcus Lundblad 2017-04-05 20:32:27 UTC
As discussed during FOSDEM, we might want to add some additional icons for some specific "sub-modes". The most commonly seen one is propably "trolley bus", some others that could be nice is "tourist rail" (something like museum railways, could perhaps depict a steam loco). One novelty-escque one is "horse-drawn carrige" (which might be fun as a sort-of easer-egg like thing). The complete list of "hierarchical modes" can be seen in src/hvt.js

Yeah, I can take care of this one.

Do we have "Linbana"? Google translate says ropeway, cableway or funicular railway. No idea which is which.

Anyway, this is /super/ important because of this: http://www.goteborg2021.com/jubileumsprojekt/linbana/ ;)

We have "gondolalift". Not sure if that is the same though, but I would guess so.

Oh yes.

I think it is, then we're good!

Yeah, gondola corresponds to "linbana".
And we have an icon for it already, as can be seen in Portland (see the screenshot).

Woop!! With Gondolas in, all we need is hosting! :P

Oh, and another one I forgot about: "communal taxi" (those are the kind of traffic that is usually run "on-demand", you call a number in advance). Currently it uses the car icon (the one used for car mode in the routing mode selector). Maybe that one should depict a van/mini bus.
Comment 9 Marcus Lundblad 2018-03-06 09:18:31 UTC
Another one I just spotted in the list of extended codes (in hvt.js) is monorail… :-)
