Description Viktor 2017-04-05 18:29:32 UTC
It looks weird that gnome-mines does not remember your name entered after winning a game. Each time after winning you have to type it again.

Thank you for taking the time to report this issue.

The name saving is handled in the games library we use to display/load/save the highscores, and the fix should be done there to work for the other apps using the library. Changing the component accordingly.
Comment 2 Robert Roth 2018-03-28 06:50:41 UTC
This happens because the libgnome-games-support library gets the real name of the current user on the computer, that is the default value.
Not sure what to do here:
* we could get the most frequen name from the current category as the default
* we could store the last entered username somewhere, but the question is where? gsettings?

Any other possible solutions?

BTW: this happens because mines doesn't specify a username, so the library tries to guess it. mines could probably store the last entered username in its gsettings, but than the fix would be necessary for all games using libgames-support, which is something I obviously don't want.
