Description Philip Withnall 2017-03-06 23:38:42 UTC
With Evolution 3.22.5 (Fedora 25), running `evolution --help` or `evolution --version` while Evolution is already running on the desktop results in no output, and the command line instance exiting immediately.

```
$ evolution --version
$ evolution --help
$
```

Thanks for a bug report. I tried it, but it works properly for me and it doesn't matter whether I run the evolution first from a terminal (evolution &) or from the Favourites menu of the GNOME Shell.

The problem might be elsewhere. At least the '--help' option is not handled by evolution itself.

I guess that gtk_init_with_args(), (eventually gtk_clutter_init_with_args(), but it's not used in Fedora 25), is to blame here.
