Description vladox 2017-01-27 15:39:37 UTC
Blackout screen used to work with a previous version (the one that came with ubuntu 16) out of the box, via pressing "." or the black screen button on remote control. Now it seemingly doesn't, unless you press Super (Windows) key to get the Gnome Dash. When you return to presentation, screen will now be blacked out. It is just a minor annoyance, which I would really appreciate you could fix. Thanks!

I can reproduce the issue. I am puzzled about the reason.

The code of the presentation mode has not changed, and the code obeys to
GDK_KEY_b, GDK_KEY_B, GDK_KEY_period, and GDK_KEY_KP_Decimal

Bug persists in Fedora 26 (Gnome 3.24). Any idea on how to fix it?
