Description Reto Stamm 2002-04-05 18:23:20 UTC
It would be really nice if dia would have a Checkin entry in the file menu.

When selected, it should ask for a change note
save the file
close the file
determine if the File is in CVS or RCS
do a commit
open the file and restore all the windows

This saves many steps for everyone who has $Revision: $ strings embedded in
their drawings.

Mass reassign of bugs to dia-maint@bugzilla.gnome.org.
Comment 2 Ben FrantzDale 2002-12-07 01:26:18 UTC
That would break consistancy across GNOME apps. As nice as in-editor
RCS is (I use it in emacs all the time), It seems odd to include it in
just Dia.
Comment 3 Lars Clausen 2002-12-07 01:42:17 UTC
I think this would be a good target for a plug-in.

Comment 4 Alan Horkan 2003-02-10 22:56:20 UTC
gedit had a CVS plugin, you might be able to adapt it to work with
Dia, or even better generalise it so that we can both share the same
code.

Added HELPWANTED keyword on the off chance it might encourage outside developers
to give this a shot.
