Example year view mockup

I personally use the year view to get an overview over certain important, usually multi day events (like vacation or business trips).

What do you think about adding the possibility to add filter for events to the year view which display the relevant event in the chosen color (see attached mock up)?

Eg there are event entries like "skiing vacation" or "vacation camping".
Then I create an filter like "vacation" (which means "*vacation*"). The filter could also hold multiple filters. Then I chose a color and I'm done.

Additionally it would be great to display all events in certain calendars in the same manner, like holidays.
