Description Fabian Köster 2016-12-05 20:40:43 UTC
I see a lot entries like the following in the journal:

U Mon Dec 5 00:08:04 2016 2 session-1.scope gnome-session-binary[1990]: GLib-GObject-CRITICAL: g_object_unref: assertion 'G_IS_OBJECT (object)' failed.

I could observe any malfunction, though.

It was reported at least for Ubuntu [1] and Gentoo [2].

Any idea what might be causing this and/or how to resolve it?

Please let me know if you need more information.

Without more details on how to reproduce the problem or a backtrace of the critical error, this isn't very useful.

Running with the envvar "G_DEBUG=fatal_criticals" should produce crashes, and allow coredumpctl or your distribution's crash catcher to gather more useful backtraces.
