Description gnome.vrb 2016-11-14 14:44:33 UTC
Totem currently has a "delete" button which removes the underlying file.

1. It should have a "Remove" button which should just remove it from totem database. The "Remove" button should be visible by default.

2. The "Delete" button should be hidden by default and should have an option to enable it, via 'Preferences' window. I never expected 'Delete' to delete the file ( no warning dialogs ). Luckily, I tested it on a sample screencast. The 'red' color of the button is informative. But, it should not be the only and default option.

I thought there should be a way to just "Remove" the movie from totem, and assumed that "Delete" probably provides that feature, as it was the only action available upon selection, and totem wouldn't just delete a movie.

Missed it by a mile :)
