Description Hussam Al-Tayeb 2016-08-25 06:48:27 UTC
Under gnome-shell wayland session, resizing a window of an application whose toolkit is not wayland compatible (for example, gimp or firefox), cause severe black box flickering.
The black boxes that appear around the window while it is being resized are rather large too.

Do you know when this started? I went back to mutter 3.20 and could still see the issue. Have this ever worked as it should? Or is it maybe an Xwayland issue?
Comment 2 Hussam Al-Tayeb 2016-08-26 14:44:40 UTC
I have no idea when it started. Sorry. Gnome 3.20 was my first experimentation with wayland.
