Description Yanko Kaneti 2016-08-19 11:39:07 UTC
Rawhide

gnome-terminal-3.21.90-2.fc26.x86_64
mutter-3.21.4-1.fc25.x86_64
gnome-shell-3.21.4-1.fc25.x86_64

In a wayland session, shell crashes starting gnome-terminal-3.21.90 with
--geometry 1000x1000

Filing under gnome-shell because I am not sure if its a shell or mutter or XWayland bug..

gnome-shell doesn't crash here, it kills the offending app (gnome-terminal-server) with a "Window manager warning: Could not import pending buffer, ignoring commit: Failed to create texture 2d due to size/format constraints" which sounds quite right.

What version of gnome-shell/mutter do you use? I think this might be a duplicate of bug 770387
Comment 2 Yanko Kaneti 2016-10-10 13:02:59 UTC
The versions where this happened originally were already listed.
Since nowadays it doesn't crash, I'll assume its the same issue fixed by 770387.

Marking as DUPLICATE

Thanks
