Description Allan Day 2016-07-04 13:48:43 UTC
The times that are shown on the right are each given their own line. This interrupts the flow of the conversation on the left, making messages more difficult to read.

Compare this:

aday polari's a great client
                                            12:34
bastianilso yep, it's my favorite!

With this:

aday polari's a great client
bastianilso yep, it's my favorite! 12:34

How are long messages supposed to fit in with this?

Like this:

aday I've done some new fancy mockups for polari, wanna check them out?
bastianilso Sure, I'm taking a look! 12:34

I've done some experiments here in Inkscape and the second approach looks better in my opinion.
