Description Andreas J. Guelzow 2016-06-30 17:23:47 UTC
If in a workbook Book1 with two sheets Sheet1 and Sheet2, cell("ADDRESS",Sheet1!A1) is entered on Sheet2, then
Gnumeric returns: $A$1 while
Excel 2013 returns: [Book1]Sheet1!A1 (or [Book1.xlsx]Sheet1!A1 if the file is saved.
If the formula is entered on Sheet1 the results in Excel 2013 and Gnumeric match.

We can change that to add some indication of sheet, but I never think
we will do cell() XL compatible. I am not even sure XL is compatible
between versions.
