Description piedro.kulman 2016-05-30 11:34:17 UTC
THough according to this bug tracker this problem has been resolved for a long time now...

I still cannot change the default address book.

- No matter which address book I choose,
- no matter whether I restart gnome-contacts

The default address book seems to change (the tick box stays at the correct address book!) but the contacts shown and searched in the application are clearly the wrong (or maybe a mix of all?) contacts.

This behaviour stays the same now matter whether I choose a Gmail contact address book or a local one.

These bug repolrts claim the problem has been resolved in 2014 - I am on gnome 3.20 and it is still present:

Switching address books doesn't work at all since all contacts are merged into the same view.

- GNOME contacts version: 3.22.1
- OS: Archlinux (x64)

`uname -a`
Linux my-host 4.8.13-1-ARCH #1 SMP PREEMPT Fri Dec 9 07:24:34 CET 2016 x86_64 GNU/Linux

I realized that by calling gnome-contacts from terminal the output gives me:

> (gnome-contacts:3554): GLib-GIO-CRITICAL **: g_action_print_detailed_name: assertion 'g_action_name_is_valid (action_name)' failed
>
> (gnome-contacts:3554): Gtk-CRITICAL **: gtk_application_set_accels_for_action: assertion 'detailed_action_name != NULL' failed

Has the assertion `iter_is_valid (iter, list_sotre)` something to do with the error?
