Description Jim Haynes 2016-05-23 16:00:19 UTC
I have a file
http://support.magellangps.com/support/index.php?_m=downloads&_a=viewdownlo
      ad&downloaditemid=491

which both evince and okular say is password protected. Adobe reader under
Windows will read it. The Magellan company says it is not password protected.

Sounds like bug 623091 all over again, but this is much more recent.
Comment 1 Jason Crain 2016-05-23 16:36:23 UTC
It *is* password protected, but it should only be protected against modification. Viewing it should be allowed. It shows this error message:

Poppler-INFO: Syntax error at position -1: Invalid encryption key length
Comment 2 André Klapper 2016-05-23 17:22:54 UTC
The link is not a PDF file. Is this about http://support.magellangps.com/support/assets/manuals/112-0084-001%20A%205520_LM.pdf instead?

$:andre\> pdfinfo 112-0084-001\ A\ 5520_LM.pdf
Syntax Error: Invalid encryption key length
Command Line Error: Incorrect password
Comment 3 Jim Haynes 2016-05-23 17:59:37 UTC
I guess so. The other one was sent to me in an email from Magellan when I
complained about the password, and it worked for me to download the manual.
