Description Nicolas Maia 2016-04-13 12:54:35 UTC
When I close my laptop lid and reopen, I'm faced with my login greeter (lightdm-webkit2-greeter) and the mouse cursor appears just fine. When I enter the credentials and initiate the actual session (i.e., get to the desktop), the mouse cursor becomes invisible.

I can still hover over things and click on them, but the cursor is invisible. In my case I can only get my cursor visible again when I reboot the system (or hibernate and come back from it).

This is a clear regression since I upgraded to 3.20 from the latest version prior to that. I'm not clear what the number of the version was, but I'm positive it was the latest, since my distro is Parabola (Arch-variant), and I update my computer on a daily basis.

I have just updated to 3.20.1-1 and this bug persists.
Comment 2 Nicolas Maia 2016-04-13 13:35:33 UTC
Also, this is possibly related to bug #688757
Comment 3 Bastien Nocera 2016-04-13 13:46:56 UTC
It isn't one bit related.

I've noticed another occasion when this bug happens: when I boot up the computer and leave it unattended, it will idle and the screen goes black, and when I move the mouse/press any key and log in, the cursor is nowhere to be seen.

I've found that either my cursor goes or my usb keyboard is unresponsive. Seems pretty serious!
Comment 6 Nicolas Maia 2017-03-30 22:09:28 UTC
As of 3.22 this bug is gone.
