Description Egmont Koblinger 2015-11-30 20:12:12 UTC
As of the GtkDialog -> GtkWindow change (commits on 2015-05-10) the Escape key no longer closes the Prefs / Profile prefs dialogs.
Comment 1 Christian Persch 2015-11-30 20:24:27 UTC
Right, I forgot about ESC. Do you think it's important that ESC closes the window even though it has both a [x] WM button and a [Close] dialogue button? If so, it's easy to put ESC back.
Comment 2 Egmont Koblinger 2015-11-30 20:33:04 UTC
It's not that important, I just noticed it while working on https://bugs.launchpad.net/terminator/+bug/1518066. Up to you.
Comment 3 Egmont Koblinger 2015-11-30 20:36:00 UTC
Probably most apps still use GtkDialog (they don't have a reason to change if they have a single main window), so making Esc work would lead to a more consistent behavior across Gnome. However, we already deviate by not being transient/modal...

Unless someone really wants this and provides a patch, I woudln't bother :-)
