GNOME Bugzilla – Bug 757500
Overlay scrollbar stops animating on drag
Last modified: 2018-02-10 13:34:14 UTC
Have a window with overlay scrollbar, e.g. Files in a directory with many files, or gedit somelargefile. Click somewhere on the gray area of the scrollbar slot (not occupied by the actual draggable scrollbar) -> The content moves there with a nice short animation. Drag the scrollbar. Click somewhere on the gray area of the scrollbar slot again -> It suddenly jumps there, no more nice animation in that particular GtkScrolledWindow. (Ubuntu Wily (gtk+ 3.16.7))
Are you seeing the same with 3.18 ? I fail to reproduce this here.
Dunno. Can't compile Gtk+ 3.18 on Wily straight away and I don't feel like compiling the entire stack, sorry. You can close as obsolete if you say it's fixed in newer versions, I'll reopen after a Xenial upgrade if it's still an issue. Or leave it open for another half a year, whichever you prefer :)

We're moving to gitlab! As part of this move, we are moving bugs to NEEDINFO if they haven't seen activity in more than a year. If this issue is still important to you and still relevant with GTK+ 3.22 or master, please reopen it and we will migrate it to gitlab.
Can no longer reproduce on Ubuntu Artful (GTK+ 3.22.25).
