I think it would be interesting if there is some support for translations.  Here are a list of features I can think of:

For translators:

- Jump from a msgid to the location where the string is actually used
- Prevent erroneous edit on PO files
- Test local translations
- Fill the header entry of a newly created PO file, based on the preferences information

For developers:

- Pull translations from external services (e.g., Zanata)
